The first obvious enemy of the Troupe.

Hario is the one who, ten years before the anime starts, killed Kakunojou's parents and caused the place to burn down. His distinctive face is remembered by Ebisu who spots him, and the troupe, looking to exact their revenge on him, trace him down to a fateful auction.
At the auction he is acting as Kawai Tsuginosuke's bodyguard, sent by Nakaiya to accompany the purchase and transfer of a very valuable and expensive Gatling gun, but takes a greater interest in the Head and the man who seemed to cut it.
He is an user of the jiwari-ken (Earth-Splitting Technique), a (...imaginary) fighting technique where one causes a continuous fissure in the earth with a vertical movement of one's sword. The fissure is stopped if some body of water is put in its path.
