Saiga fails at his first attempt at killing Kakunojou due to Akizuki's intervention. He then attempts to kill her through an opening in the ceiling above the stage during her performance at the Ushioza, but is again discovered by Akizuki.
Frustrated, he eventually breaks onto the stage itself with an impromptu introduction as one of the bad guys of the story, and aims a gun at Kakunojou but is fatally stabbed by Akizuki in front of the audience who thinks it is all part of the play and gets very excited.
His last attempt to cause an explosion by firing at some explosives he hung over the stage also fail due to Kanna deflecting his bullet with one of his own.
